What to expect
You’re making a big decision. A decision some pass up for their entire lives. Here’s what I’ll expect from you, and what you should expect from me.
What to expect from me:
When you work with me, you should expect my undivided focus on your movement, goals, and understanding. I will apply as much of my time and working knowledge necessary to help you on your journey. I will utilize my connections with health professionals around me to give you the best assistance I can give. I want you to carry with you all of the tools and experiences you’ve gathered with me, and be able to apply them without me. And while I always strive to be a long-term resource to all of my people, I’d rather you want, than need, me. It will not be easy. It will be worth it.
What I Expect From you:
When you work with me, I expect you to work for yourself. Really, work. You have to want this for yourself more than I want it for you, and if you’re teetering on the edge of what you’re willing to do to get there – I may not be the coach for you. I expect you to show up on time. I expect you to ask “why” and to ask “how”, and to let me know if there is something that is not clicking for you. I expect you to tell me if you are experiencing pain or injury, so that I can assist you in pain-free movement and get you back on track. I expect you to help me take into account any life stressors or events that may be impacting what you do in the gym.
